Thanks so much for including the new CELEBRATIONS book today-- and for your absolutely wonderful graduation poem too. I shared it during a presentation a few weeks ago and it was a BIG hit! As I knew it would be! Happy Poetry Month all around!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on having your graduation poem included in the new anthology! Brought a smile to my face. Love the nap ending. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on this poem in the anthology, a wonderful addition, & I assume it's about that "younger" graduation, very cute.
ReplyDeleteI love this book so much! Happy to see your poem included...only one of my kids had a Kindergarten graduation, but oh my it was precious! (This year our middle son graduates from high school... naps are still the order of the day, at least for his mom. :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to share space with you in this book. Am sharing this with fifth graders who will leave for middle school.
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone! Yes, I'm tickled to have a poem included in this anthology--and happy to hear that it's being shared. I hope graduates and their families get a kick out of it. And a nap afterwards!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely, JoAnn--your meter (as usual) feels so perfect and natural. I love the charming ending and am so pleased we're in this anthology together!
ReplyDeleteHearty, hearty Congratulations, JoAnn! I so love your poetry, and this poem is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, JoAnn - this delightful poem takes me right back to my kids' kindergarten graduations. [Well, my son's anyway - my daughter, so excited about the cap and gown and such - had to miss because of chicken pox! But she graduated magna cum laude from college last May , so I guess she recovered.] ;0)
